Texas Harley-Davidson is one of the top ten Harley dealerships in the United States and had outgrown its existing facilities. In March 2016, Texas Harley opened the doors on their dramatic new building.

The new dealership features 71,000 SF of retail, office, storage and service center space. The exterior was crafted with textured walls, finished in Harley Davidson’s signature black and orange. A large metal awning with black trim spans the front and side of the building, with metal panels and large sections of glass curtainwall showcase the motorcycles within. Across the top, flags and the Texas Harley-Davidson name and logo are visible to motorists driving by on Airport Freeway in Bedford.

The building is fronted with 100,000+ SF of customer parking and paved motorcycle display space. Behind the building is a large driver’s training space to support the safety classes provided by Texas HD.

The interior retail space was designed to provide a dynamic blend of old style warehouse and industrial styles. Suspended catwalks and on-floor stages display motorcycles. Stained finish concrete accented with wood taken from old wine and whiskey barrels accent the showroom.  The walls feature extensive Harley-Davidson artwork along with sections of old brick. Overhead, the steel structure, duct work and piping are left raw and exposed to enhance the industrial feel.

The new facility also features a technologically advanced service facility with epoxy-covered floors, indoor wash and detail bays, a parts department and a Dynamometer. The service area is also home to the largest Harley-Davidson sign ever created. Spanning 35 feet by 35 feet, this massive sign required the installation of structural steel lattice to support its weight.

A large area on the second floor provides storage space for hundreds of motorcycles. The upstairs also features a training facility, employee lounge and office space.
