Mansfield Town Center plaza was a ground-up construction project for the retail shopping center. Accommodating up to 14 stores, this 145,000 square-foot center features tenants such as Cinemark, Best Buy, Michaels, and more.
The 42,265 square-foot theater features a large concession area and seating for 2,010 patrons. The exterior features a dramatic full-height stone veneer, the first time this finish has ever been used on a Cinemark theater. All 12 screens employ top quality Christie projectors, wall-to-wall screens, Dolby digital sound and the most modern version of stadium seating on the market.
To accommodate Cinemark’s desire to have the theater ready for the summer’s blockbuster movies, Bob Moore Construction completed this construction project almost two weeks ahead of the original schedule. This project was one of the fastest theaters Cinemark has ever built, and the amount of time from when the tilt-up construction panels were stood to the project’s completion was shorter than any other theater in the company’s history. This project received the Best Of Award from Texas Construction Magazine for Sports / Entertainment Facility Construction.
The PETCO store features a complete pet grooming area, a large bird habitat, aquarium and reptile centers and a pet adoption center. As general contractor, Bob Moore Construction worked with 31 outside vendors contracted through PETCO for the scheduling, delivery and installation of materials. Additionally, 38 national accounts were incorporated into the project, ranging from HVAC rooftop units to cart bumpers.
The Michaels store was constructed in 12″ CMU blocks to match the style of the other stores in the Mansfield Town Center West shopping development. It features a 1,639 SF mezzanine, and a material handling conveyor. Along with the retail space is a classroom for hobbyists to learn crafting techniques.
The Best Buy store was the retailer’s first in the city of Mansfield and the 65th store in the state of Texas. The 30,000 SF store is also the first in Dallas / Fort Worth, and only one of approximately 20 Best Buy stores worldwide, to feature color coded décor and a Personal Shopping Assistant (PSA) kiosk. PSA is a new service that provides free, highly trained assistants to help the consumer make selections or even to shop on their behalf while the consumer relaxes and waits – all to make shopping easier, more friendly and more convenient.
