Bob Moore Construction has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Superintendent based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. This position supports the Project Manager and Project Executive in creating strong working relationships with our customers, leading the project’s overall construction process, managing contracts, and working closely with the field supervisor to ensure we deliver the project on time, in budget, and in a safe manner.
The Assistant Superintendent supports the Senior Superintendent in overseeing on-site construction activities, with a focus on managing subcontractor operations, ensuring quality control, and maintaining safety standards. This role involves coordinating on-site logistics, conducting safety orientations, and ensuring that all daily activities are documented accurately in Procore.
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-Day Oversight: Manage and oversee the daily activities of subcontractors, ensuring they adhere to the project schedule and perform work according to specifications.
- Coordination: Assist in coordinating the efforts of various subcontractors to maintain an efficient workflow on the job site.
- QA/QC Management: Act as the first point of contact for ensuring that all work performed on-site meets the required quality standards. Address any issues promptly to maintain high-quality outcomes.
- Project Safety: Ensure that all safety protocols are strictly followed on-site. Identify and address any potential safety hazards to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Safety Orientation: Conduct safety orientations for all new workers and subcontractors, ensuring they are familiar with site-specific safety procedures and regulations.
- On-Site Deliveries: Coordinate the scheduling and arrival of on-site deliveries, ensuring that materials are received and stored properly to facilitate smooth construction operations.
- Daily Reports: Enter detailed daily reports in Procore, documenting site activities, subcontractor performance, safety observations, and any issues that arise.
- Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with the Senior Superintendent and project management team to ensure alignment on project goals and progress.
- Assist Senior Superintendent: Support the Senior Superintendent in all aspects of site management, stepping in as needed to maintain continuity and project momentum.
Minimum Qualification
- 1 to 5 years experience in commercial construction
- Previous experience on 25,000 sqft+ ground-up projects
- Previous experience on warehouse/logistics construction projects
