ARLINGTON, TEXAS – June 26, 2017 – Since its founding in 1972, Trybus Group has become one of America’s most successful tailored clothing manufacturers. When the lease for their headquarters and warehouse facility was approaching expiration, the company saw the opportunity to custom-build their own facility to meet their needs with opportunity for future growth.

“One of the things we’re looking to do is have a bigger presence in ecommerce,” said Jack Trybus, Vice President of Trybus Group. “Ecommerce is about being able to handle one piece at a time to go to an end user as opposed to two thousand at a time to a retailer. That’s the big difference. Having the larger building definitely gives us that capability. “

Trybus Group called on Bob Moore Construction as design-build contractor and Alliance Architects to create a build-to-suit headquarters and distribution center in DeSoto, Texas.

The new building delivers 145,106 SF of warehouse and upscale office space. Built with tilt-up construction, the new Trybus facility is finished with multi-shade earth tones and stone cladding accents.

The 7,783 SF office features luxury finishing with carpet tile, vinyl laminate, wallpaper and multi-color paint, with accent lighting throughout. The office includes an open bay work area, executive offices, conference room and an employee break room.

The remaining 137,000 SF of space is dedicated to the warehouse. The warehouse includes more than eight miles of custom-designed racking and rail systems on three levels, with two levels of 12’ wide catwalks providing employee access to all three tiers of storage. An escalator-styled conveyor system moves product up and down to the different levels of racking.

The warehouse features 22 truck bays for receiving and shipping. It features ESFR and in-rack fire suppression systems with TPO roofing and a 32’ clear height.

“The building turned out great,” said Mr. Trybus. “The higher ceilings in the warehouse allow us to have two levels of mezzanines instead of one which gives us that much more storage space. And the office is much more efficient as well.”

“I’m very pleased with the new Trybus building,” said Kyle Ware, Senior Project Manager for Bob Moore Construction. “The office space showcases our ability to create an upscale corporate environment for headquarters facilities. The warehouse is remarkable. Its racking system supports the efficient storage and distribution of an amazing volume of suits, suit coats and slacks.

“It was a pleasure to work with Jack Trybus, Gary Trybus and Michael Chen,” added Mr. Ware. “Their understanding of what they needed and strong involvement throughout the process allowed us to create a new home for Trybus Group that will serve their needs for decades to come.”

Mr. Trybus enjoyed his experience with Bob Moore Construction. “We worked closely with Kyle Ware, Kyle Whitesell and project superintendent Edgar Valles, and we couldn’t ask for a better job,” he said. “They responded to our needs, any problems they took care of immediately, and they kept us informed of everything along the way.

“Working with Bob Moore Construction is definitely a no-brainer,” added Mr. Trybus. “If we had it to do over again, if we had another building to build, for sure we’d contact Bob Moore.”
