Bob Moore Construction Announces New Partners

Bob Moore Construction, a general contractor / design-builder headquartered in Dallas / Fort Worth and in business since 1946, announced new leadership changes that position the company for the future.

Ed McGuire, Kyle Whitesell and Mark Duvall have increased their ownership position in the company.

In a joint statement, Mike Moore, Phillip Bell, Ed McGuire, and Kyle Whitesell said, “with this announcement, we welcome Mark as our partner. Our company is now in a transitional phase that will ultimately usher in a new era of executive leadership at Bob Moore Construction.”

Mike Moore and Phillip Bell have seen tremendous growth and changes within the company, and they look forward to seeing what the future holds for Bob Moore Construction.

Ed McGuire, president of Bob Moore Construction since 2014 and a partner since 2004, will continue to serve as president.

Kyle Whitesell, a partner since 2014, will continue to work in the role of Executive Vice President.

Mark Duvall has been promoted to the role of Executive Vice President.

Mike Moore and Phillip Bell will continue to provide executive leadership.

Ed McGuire first joined BMC in 1984. Under his leadership the company has received numerous awards, including the TEXO General Contractor of the Year Award, AGC-Texas Building Branch Outstanding Construction Award, various TCA and AGC safety awards, and multiple TCA Tilt-Up Achievement Awards.

Kyle Whitesell joined BMC in 2003 and made an immediate impact. Quickly promoted to Senior Vice President, Kyle has managed the construction of millions of square-feet in warehouses, retail stores, call centers, and office buildings projects. Kyle was promoted to Executive Vice President in 2013. Kyle has served as the primary point of contact for key company clientele.

Mark Duvall joined BMC in 2012 as an Estimator. In 2018 Mark was promoted to Vice President of Pre-Construction Services. In this role, Mark oversaw all estimating operations, including the design-build process and value engineering process, in addition to overseeing Marketing and Business Development operations.

I look forward to working with the entire BMC team to continue our company’s standing as an industry leader.”

Mike Moore started his career with BMC in 1964. After serving as President and later as CEO, Mike moved to an advisory position in 2014. Mike will continue serving the company in this advisory position.

Phillip Bell joined Bob Moore Construction as a project manager in 1979. He rose quickly within the company, promoted to Vice President and becoming a partner in 1986. Mr. Bell assumed the role of President in 1997 and CEO in 2014. Phillip will continue on in the role of CEO.

As the company approaches 76 years in business, Ed, Kyle, and Mark will work together with Mike Moore and Phillip Bell to lead the company through this transitional phase. In a statement, Ed McGuire said, “From Bob Moore to later Mike & Phillip, BMC has a great track record of thoughtful leadership. We will seek to emulate their success in the years ahead and keep Bob Moore Construction as a leader in the Texas construction industry.”
