ARLINGTON, TEXAS – September 17, 2013 – Bob Moore Construction has received the Safety Achievement Award from CompGroup AGC.
The award was presented in recognition of Bob Moore Construction’s accomplishments in safety, quality and production by CompGroup AGC. Specifically the award was given in recognition of Bob Moore Construction’s superior safety group loss ratio from 2005 through 2011.
CompGroup AGC is a registered safety group formed to administer the workers’ compensation program on behalf of the members of all Texas Chapters of the Associated General Contractors of America, Inc. The CompGroup AGC Board of Directors is comprised of AGC-Texas members, representing the various chapters of the state’s association.
“We are very proud to receive recognition for our safety program from a state-level AGC group that is a major player in the construction industry’s workers compensation program,” said Ed McGuire, Executive Vice President for Bob Moore Construction. “Bob Moore Construction has been a leader in construction safety in Texas for many years and it is gratifying when our efforts are recognized by an organization that plays such an important role in safety and workers compensation throughout Texas.”
The CompGroup AGC Safety Award is the latest in a series of formal recognitions of Bob Moore Construction’s safety program:
- In August 2013 the company became the first general contractor in the United States to be formally certified as a tilt-up company by the Tilt-Up Concrete Association (TCA), in a program that included an evaluation of its safety program.
- Bob Moore Construction was one of the first general contractors in Texas to be accepted in the exclusive OSHA Local Partnership program.
- The company was one of the first general contractors in Texas to have its superintendents certified as Tilt-Up Supervisors by the American Concrete Institute in a joint program with the TCA.
- Bob Moore Construction has received several safety awards including the TCA’s Alphonse J. Engelman Best Tilt-Up Safety Achievement Award and the AGC’s Safety Director of the Year.
